Interim Finance Manager
📍 Based in Kent (Hybrid)
💰 Day rate: £500–£600 (Inside IR35)
📅 Contract length: 3–6 months
Hamilton Woods are currently supporting a well-established organisation in the appointment of an Interim Finance Manager to join their finance team on an immediate basis.
This is a key role within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, requiring a hands-on individual who can provide stability, insight and leadership during a transitional period.
The Role
You will take ownership of the FP&A and commercial finance function, working closely with senior stakeholders across finance, commercial and operational teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing cash flow and short to medium-term cash forecasting
- Leading budgeting and forecasting cycles, including regular reforecasts
- Partnering with commercial and operational teams around valuations and WIP
- Providing robust analysis and challenge to financial and operational data
- Supporting month-end processes and ensuring continuity within the finance function
- Driving improvements in reporting, moving towards more value-add analysis
- Delivering clear, actionable insight to support business decision-making
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong FP&A and commercial finance experience
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and add value quickly
- Experience within construction, property or a project-based environment is highly desirable
- Strong systems experience (ERP / planning tools)
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to challenge and influence
- A proactive, hands-on contractor mindset
